BLUEPRINT Brand Studio | Icon, Patterns and custom Art

A collection of unique, illustrative elements created in collaboration with BLUEPRINT Brand Studio for Erin O'Brien's real-estate brand suite. Overall, the visual concept for this collection has a subtle coastal theme of movement, whimsy and an ode to celebration!

In this suite we have a handcrafted icon based on the Sand-Dollar. The aim was to create an icon realistic in its shape and proportions but stylistically inspired by the Woodcut printmaking technique.

Complementing the icon is a pattern design that takes its inspiration from the textural surface of a seashell; invoking the idea of what a detailed, macro view of the Sand-Dollar could look and feel like.

With this, we have two independent artworks that round out the suite and play an essential role in rooting the hero elements. First, there is the abstract, coastal texture - created using swaths of thick paint, monoprinted and digitised to give a thick, tactile texture background. Then, we have a digital painting – an ode to the flecks of sunlight on the water, bubbles popping on the surface,
the movement of the ocean reflected in a glass of champagne, drawn in a soft Impressionistic style.
